Carlie and Bob were married on an April day in Pittsburgh in a gorgeous black and white Omni William Penn Hotel Urban Room Wedding! She got ready with her sister, mom, and bridesmaids at the Omni William Penn Hotel in the 8th floor suite. All of her details were perfectly placed and ready for her black-and-white wedding, thanks to her wedding planner Kim with Olive and Rose Events!

Carlie’s makeup was perfection, completed by the talented Phylicia of Bongiorno Bella, and her hair by Christy of Simply Captivating was on POINT as always! And both looked amazing all day!!

Once Carlie was ready to get into her dress, we picked a pretty location within the bridal suite and she got dressed, while my second photographer was outside working with the guys. Always a great way to work a wedding day timeline!

With Carlie dressed and ready to go, we drove to St Peter Catholic Church on Pittsburgh’s North Side, next to the Aviary. I love this church! It’s very pretty, large, and classicly Pittsburgh.

After the wedding ceremony at St Peter Catholic Church, we completed all of their family photos at the front altar and with the rear doors (it was super-sunny and not a lot of leaves on the trees outside, so this was a great backdrop to work with). Before we left the church, I made sure to grab some pretty bride/groom portraits in the upper levels of the buildings with the winding stairs and rows of arches. Love working architecture into my art!

We headed back to the Omni William Penn Hotel Urban Room to complete our photo time together, where we photographed their wedding party with the spring scenery at Mellon Square, and then concluded with bride and groom photos outside and inside of the Omni Lobby.

We made sure that we built time into the wedding day timeline to get up to the Urban Room for a reception space first look, and for Carlie and Bob to attend part of their cocktail hour. The florals inside of the room were designed by Blossoms by Jillian (love her!) and the beautiful cake mimicked Carlie’s dress design – baked with love by Tasty Bakery. Custom menu cards and logo design by Loree Mayer were also on full display during the reception.

Once room photos and cocktail hour was wrapped up, we ended the night with a Omni William Penn Hotel Urban Room wedding party (a blast!) hosted by Loyal of Loyalty Events – who else can throw a party like Loyal? No one! The most touching part of the day was the way that they incorporated Carlie’s dad into a lot of events. He may have not been with us physically, but so many guests noted that he had the best seat in the house – watching from above! All of the guests got up and danced a special fun song just for him and it was touching to see how many people loved him, which I’m sure bleeds right into how many people love Carlie and Bob as a couple now too! <3

Lots of love! xoxo Such a big fan of Omni William Penn Hotel Urban Room Wedding photography – my couples in this space are always wonderful! It’s a tricky one to photograph, but I think I do it pretty well 🙂
