My love for wedding photography is deep. Perhaps deeper than I put out there on my initial webpage and on my social media. I hold close some very core beliefs and a vision that is really important to my work.

Your wedding is not for my social media.

I have a true ingrained respect for my client's weddings. I am there for you, and nothing else. I am not taking a break from our portrait time to grab video for a TikTok, and I am not asking you to dance to trending music for the sake of likes. Having been married for 15 years, I know that marriage is a huge, important, and incredible step in your lives, and I refuse to exploit your one day for the sake of my business, no matter what the cost.

Classic portraits never go out of style.

Every single one of my clients comes to me and says they want 'candid images'. The emotion of candid portraits is not overlooked or lost on me, but I always start with the foundation of what wedding photography has been for centuries - classic portraits. If I left you with a wedding gallery full of moments and not ONE "looking at the camera" portrait, you would be crushed. I always start with the classics and build upon them creatively as we work together. This doesn't take a long time, but it's an important foundation.

Your moments should never be staged.

Knowledge of lighting, camera gear, and the ability to anticipate moments on a wedding day all add up to candid coverage that captures your moments without asking them to be staged again. This allows you to step back and actually enjoy your wedding day as it unfolds, as opposed to how a photographer wants you to fake it. I absolutely capture candid images of your day - all day.

About 5% of my clients are posing pros.

You may look at my gallery and think that 100% of my couples are great at posing, smiling, interacting, and feeling genuine in front of a camera. That is just not true. The art of bringing out all of those natural smiles comes down to interaction and personality - on my part. I am very good at reading my client's personalities and comfort levels. I will work with you to understand what angles you like, what prompts get great reactions, and what style really resonates with your personalities. That doesn't happen if I'm a dud :)

Your religion and beliefs are respected.

I honor religious ceremonies by being unobtrusive and respectful. I value all types of relationships with my couples and with their family members. I understand that life is lived in the gray areas, and everyone is welcome into their photography experience with open arms, respect, and love.

I love anything outdoors, yoga, cooking, and more outdoors.

I am a fan of a good Pinot Noir.

I have been married for 15 years - our wedding took place at Heinz Chapel and J Verno Studios.

I have four kids - Joy (9), Bronco (5), Paige (3), and Grant (baby).

I have traveled to over 21 different countries, but that's not nearly enough.

I have lost both of my parents, so I lean on my brother and cousins for a lot of 'family time'.

I grew up in Monroeville, and graduated from PITT with an Industrial Engineering degree.

I can say the alphabet backwards really fast - a super cool trick I taught myself in grade school.

I was a semi-finalist on a national singing competition show.
