Bella Sera Weddings
The food at Bella Sera is always phenomenal. I remember every event at the venue because the food is so fantastic. Bella Sera is located near Canonsburg, easily off of a Route 79 highway exit. There are hotels nearby for your guests and lots of South Hills locations to visit. The venue has a large parking area for everyone to easily attend, and can host both your ceremony and reception.
Inside of Bella Sera, there is a wine cellar, cocktail area, locations for bars, and a large stone fireplace. The walls are painted with an Italian Tuscan look, and so the whole venue has a rustic, Italian feel. It’s elegant and always well-maintained. There are rooms upstairs for the bride or bridal party, and the large staircase is the perfect entrance for a bride coming down the aisle.
Wedding Photography at Bella Sera
Be aware, the ceilings are high in this Bella Sera, so you want a photographer who can properly light the space during your wedding reception! There are also wonderful photography areas on the property or within short walking and driving distance. One of my favorite photos taken on the property was actually created in the parking lot! The sun sets over the parking lot, so there is beautiful evening light in that space. There are also some evergreen trees on the side of the reception building that are great for bride/groom photos, although perhaps a little tight for the bridal party.
In case of rain, the interior space is large, and so a wedding party could do photos in the reception space while guests enjoy cocktail hour in the foyer.
Wedding Ceremonies
Thinking of having your wedding ceremony in Bella Sera? Their ceremony room is the same as the reception room, they just set it up differently. For ceremonies, the guest chairs are all facing toward the fireplace, and the groom enters from the side door (which is really the back door to the building). The bridal party enters through the foyer entrance on the main level, and finally for the bride’s ‘grand entrance’, she comes down the main staircase.
Wedding Receptions
After the wedding ceremony, guests are ushered out into the foyer area and side room, where there are two bars and area for hor’s devours and a cookie table. During this time, the reception room is ‘flipped’ and tables are moved in. Chairs from the ceremony are placed around the tables, and the room flip process takes the time of cocktail hour to get setup and ready for guests. Once cocktail hour is over, guests find their seat in the large Bella Sera ballroom, which typically has a dance floor in the center of the room. Wedding couples can choose to have a sweetheart table or a king’s table with their bridal party for the reception events!
