Danielle and Gary met on a Pittsburgh Sports League kickball team that played in the Southside of Pittsburgh. Danielle reluctantly agreed to play on the team since they needed girls to play, but when Gary kicked a home run the first game – that’s when Danielle fell in love with him.
For their wedding day at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh, they wanted to keep everything very natural and romantic. The venue is filled with so much beauty and history so their vision was to keep the wedding classy and timeless- no overpowering the beautiful architecture or design of the space!
The amount of love behind their wedding and personal touches definitely made their wedding unique. They were married on their 7th anniversary which they are hoping is lucky number 7! They went through the planning process with hand in hand together and made their wedding truly about the two of them (and of course their awesome dogs!) Gary was extremely involved in the whole process and really showed he cared about this day and how special it was to him – a trait that I always love to see in a groom!
Photographing their wedding at the Downtown Renaissance Hotel was a treat, with their ceremony on the foyer staircase, and their reception in the main ballroom. They had tons of friends and family with them, and I loved how their pup was able to sit next to them as they said their vows – so sweet!
