Melissa and Brad’s winter wedding was a DREAM. The details. The vendors. The COUPLE. Everything was what I wish for on a wedding day.

Melissa got ready at the Embassy Suites Downtown Pittsburgh, and I really loved the hotel rooms overlooking the city skyline. It was so pretty in the building! After taking advantage of the city views, we headed over to Phipps Conservatory for their first look, and the LIGHT. Oh, the light. It was to die for. We photographed them around the exterior of the conservatory for a bit, and then headed inside to take advantage of the beautiful Sunken Garden room and Desert Room.

After portraits (which were great because there was no ‘bridal party’ and so we had tons of time!), they signed their Ketubah in the Broderie Room surrounded by a few friends and witnesses. After a champagne toast, it was off to their ceremony in the Sarris Hall of Special Events, which was OUTDONE by the Hello Productions team and Allison McGeary.

Family photos were lovely, using the ceremony backdrop for portraits with their loved-ones, and then we captured all of the pretty details in the reception space while guests enjoyed cocktail hour throughout the entire conservatory (what a treat!)

Photographing Melissa and Brad’s winter wedding was so wonderful. I can’t say enough about them. They spent the ENTIRE DAY together, laughing and enjoying each other, and that was SUCH a pleasure to see. They truly were thrilled to enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime day together and I am so thankful they chose me to photograph it all. <3

This is a long one – but WELL worth it!

RING SHOT! One of my all-time favorites!
The best – Simply Captivating Hair by Christy. She made Melissa’s hair just pure magic.
Loved the reflection in this photo.
If this doesn’t say “PITTSBURGH QUEEN” I don’t know what does?!
The inside of the Embassy Suites Downtown building is really cool! Loved the architecture
These guys have the same smile 🙂
A first look in front of Phipps.
Time for portraits!
We had beautiful light, so I really wanted to take advantage of it by creating both classic + dreamy photos.
Look at that gorgeous winter light!
We ventured to the side of Phipps, where we incldued the architecture of the building along with the lovely light. Depending on the angle of the light with the camera, we can create some different looks!
Soft, contrasty, and romantic.
Then playful and happy! A good variety for my couples!
Inside of the Sunken Garden and Desert Room. I wanted to create something different that was like the heat of a desert, and so I used a little light I had in my bag along with a light color gel to create this look in-camera.
Time to sign the Ketubah!

Cheers! Documents are signed, so on to the ceremony!
