These two are big coffee fans, so when they suggested hitting up their favorite coffee place (Commonwealth Coffee on the North Side), I thought it would be a great addition to their engagement gallery. We started their engagement session on the North Side, so that we could include some of Pittsburgh’s iconic yellow bridges into the background and see some of the skyline, and then we ventured into the Mexican War Streets area and stopped for some coffee.

After coffee, we ventured along the streets taking photos and went back to this big ivy-covered wall I happened to notice as I was trying to find street parking. Often, I run into the craziest of locations to shoot while I’m driving around and try to remember to get back there for photos with my couples! We worked with the big ivy wall, and then… on what was an otherwise overcast day… we had a late-afternoon sunset! The sun was shining down one of the side streets and although it seemed like we were ready to wrap up for the day I made sure to hop into that gorgeous sunset light and take more photos of them snuggling up together…. and I’m so glad we did! One of my favorite photos from their session is at the end of this group of favorites – go and check it out!
