Christina and Adam were married on November 25th, with a ceremony and reception at the Hotel Monaco in Pittsburgh.
We had gorgeous weather for an end-of-November wedding. With the beautiful light and downtown Pittsburgh scenery, I was absolutely spoiled when it came to wedding photography. Add to that the fact that I had smart, active, interesting people to photograph—Christina is a judo champion, and both of them are lawyers—and this whole day was a wedding photographer’s dream!
A Stunning Hotel Monaco Wedding
On the morning of the wedding, I spent time with the girls in the suite. Christina is incredibly close with her mom and her two sisters, so I was sure to get plenty of pictures of the three of them together. I also wanted to get pictures of all of the siblings and adorable little kids at this wedding—kids always steal the show!
They were married in the Hotel Monaco Sheffield Ballroom of the hotel by a close friend of theirs, Michael, who was also one of the groomsmen. I could tell that these two inspired love and loyalty in their group of friends, and I especially loved that they knew how to laugh with each other. The best man even joked that it was time for Adam to “get off of Mom and Dad’s cell phone plan,” which made everyone laugh.
Pittsburgh Sunset Wedding Portraits
After the ceremony, I stole Christina and Adam away for some portraits on the Hotel Monaco rooftop overlooking downtown Pittsburgh. These are my favorite images and memories of the day, because they looked so stunning together. The way the sunset draped the skyline in that warm golden glow was so magical. I loved the image of this happy couple with that beautiful backdrop so much, in fact, it’s one of the header images on the main page of my website!
We headed back to the Sheffield Ballroom for the reception, where I was able to get a few more gorgeous pictures of the two of them. I particularly loved the one of them sitting together with the stunning reception flowers by Green Sinner perfectly framing the couple. The blush florals were literally dripping off of the arrangements in such an elegant, luxurious way. I honestly couldn’t get enough of the details in this wedding. Everything was superb!
Adam & Christina, thank you for asking me to be your wedding photographer. I love getting to photograph people like you who are so full of life, and I hope you continue to carry that passion into everything you do.
