My second shooter, Lizzy, and I met up with these two amazing, caring people on the day of the wedding to capture some pictures of them getting ready before the first look. While Jessie is a nurse, Todd is a firefighter, so a lot of the groomsmen were his fellow firefighters. You could really see the bond between all of them as they celebrated the day!
Jessica and Todd’s Fairmont Hotel Wedding
We set up the first look on the grand staircase of the hotel, where their dog, Roxy, came bounding up to them for a few photos as well. Jessie cried when she saw Roxy! I loved the pictures with them and Roxy, because they feel like their first “official” family portraits.
After a beautiful, sweet ceremony, we had plenty of time before the reception to grab pictures at CMU Columns and the North Shore. We wanted to make sure that we got those skyline photos of downtown Pittsburgh as well as some pictures in front of Heinz Field, because Jessica and Todd are both huge sports fans.
Timeless Pittsburgh Wedding Pictures
Some my favorite images are from the CMU Commons, because they are such classic Pittsburgh wedding images. Not to mention, this was where a fire truck came to meet us for photos to honor the good work Todd does as a fireman. What a cool addition to wedding photos! And of course, thank you to Todd and his company for your bravery and courage.
We had a blast the whole day celebrating with the bridal party and all of their guests. The dance floor was always packed, and I personally enjoyed their cookie table, a classic Pittsburgh tradition.
Todd & Jessica, thank you for asking me to be your wedding photographer. I loved getting to spend the day with you, and I am so excited for you both to start the rest of your lives together!
