Jordan and Patrick were married on September 9th, with a ceremony at the St. Bernard Church and a reception at LeMont Restaurant.
Pittsburgh Wedding Photography
My second shooter, Michelle, and I were thrilled to see the beautiful weather on the day of the wedding, since we had plans for so many beautiful outdoor shots. We started down by PNC Park, because both Jordan and Patrick are huge baseball fans, and once I saw Jordan in her champagne-colored gown, I couldn’t get over how perfectly it accented her skin tone and dark hair. She looked absolutely stunning. LaPomponee really knocked it out of the park with the hair and makeup—though there was a small moment of panic when she lost an eyelash. We were all on top of it, though, and all was remedied with a last minute stop at CVS for lash glue.
We took some pictures with the wedding party at the CMU Columns on PITT campus, as well as in from of the Cathedral of Learning at PITT. There weren’t a lot of other wedding parties there that day, so we had the place to ourselves—which meant we could really get those perfect images of these two at their alma mater. I especially loved the image of Jordan on the stairs in the sunlight. It’s something different than what I usually shoot, but it turned out so well. The light in September is so beautiful.
A Lavender & Peach LeMont Wedding
This whole day was filled with amazing people—from the easygoing bridal party to the family members involved in the ceremony. Jordan’s brother walked her down the aisle, and Patrick’s grandfather took the mic at the reception to introduce a few songs. He had been a radio DJ in his younger days, so even in his 90s, he knew how to work a crowd!
Patrick’s grandfather also gave the most wonderful speech; it was clear to see how much he truly cares for and loves each of his grandchildren. What a wonderful guy! They all love him. He also owns a Dairy Queen, so all of his grandkids are used to lots and lots of free ice cream!
Thank you, Jordan & Patrick, for letting me be part of your beautiful day. I loved getting to know you and your friends and family! Thanks also to The Farmer’s Daughter for some absolutely incredible floral arrangements.
