A Peters Lake Engagement Session
Emily and Eric met in college at PITT Johnstown, and they have only fallen more in love with each passing day. They love spending time with family and friends or simply relaxing together. Emily, in particular, describes herself as “an old soul in a 30-year-old body,” because she loves to curl up with a good book or a movie and to spend time with her beautiful niece.
Autumn in Pittsburgh for Photos
Because the two of them have such a relaxed and easygoing vibe to them, the park seemed like the perfect place for their engagement session. There, we were able to capture some of the pretty scenery as well as a yellow goldenrod—proving that it’s at least starting to be fall-like in Pennsylvania! That natural kind of beauty was simply perfect for the two of them, a wonderful backdrop to this season of change in their lives.
Both Eric and Emily were good sports about going on adventures to get the best shots for this session. They were willing to wander into parts of the lake further away from the road and even walk through the woods in heels to get just the right setting. I’m so glad they trusted me enough to do that, too, because the pictures turned out wonderfully. The colors were perfect, and the park itself seemed to come together to highlight the honest beauty of their love and relationship.
Emily & Eric, thank you for asking me to be your engagement photographer. I was so honored to be able to go out to Peters Lake Park with you, and I’m grateful to you both for trusting me to get those images that I hope will be cherished and treasured for the rest of your lives together.
