Weddings at the Westin Hotel + Convention Center, Pittsburgh PA
Favorite Family Moment:
My favorite family moment from Julie and Scott’s wedding took place during the ceremony. Let me tell you, first, that Scott has a son who is just lively and so fun. What a great kid! He was up under the chuppah during their ceremony at the Westin Hotel and was just beaming during the event. At one point in the ceremony, they did a sand ceremony where each member of their new three-person family poured a little bit of sand into a jar. He did his part and then was looking back and forth between Scott and Julie with a huge smile, and a slightly silly expression too. You could just tell how excited he was about the whole day!
Colorful uplighting, long-sleeve wedding dress, lots of navy blue, White Anemone flowers to bring it all together.
Our Favorite Photo:
Photography was challenging on this day! Not because of my subjects, but because it was freezing outside, and so everything was photographed inside of the Westin Hotel. From bridal portraits, to bridal party, ceremony, and reception – we were inside for it all! My favorite photo is one of Scott and Julie that was actually taken in the elevator waiting area! There were very cool chandeliers on the ceiling, and so I was able to set up flashes to light just them and reduce the rest of the scene. On top of that, these two have great chemistry together, so their expression was incredibly genuine – something I’m always looking for! I love a good lighting challenge!

Thank you for having me with you on your big day! It was so exciting to meet all of your friends and family, and your wedding was absolutely beautiful! Also, a big shout out to the team at the Westin Hotel – they were fantastic!
Westin Hotel and Convention Center Pittsburgh Weddings
There is lots to love about weddings at the Westin Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh. First, the local is incredible. There are tons of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, and some of them are my favorites in the city! (Sienna Mercato, Bakersfield, Ten Penny). The Westin is also close to the David L. Lawrence Convention center, which is a great rain plan location for wedding photography and also includes access to the city rivers and skyline view. In addition to the location, the staff at the Westin Hotel is absolutely accommodating and professional! It was a pleasure working with them for this wedding ceremony and reception. The ceremony took place in the ballroom, and then the room was ‘flipped’ for the wedding reception while the guests enjoyed cocktail hour. My bride and groom were able to get ready in spacious hotel rooms upstairs, and even with the cold weather outside, there were plenty of locations for wedding photos inside of the Westin Hotel as well!
