Weddings at Renaissance Hotel Pittsburgh
Favorite Family Moment:
During their wedding ceremony, each of their parents presented them with a gift that signified something special in their relationship as the years passed. From gaming dice (“The family that plays together, stays together”), to passport covers – theirs was an incredibly touching wedding ceremony. I was crying half way through it! Morgan + Jim bore witness!
Lots of fall color, from deep purples to yellows and oranges! I loved how these colors were accented by the yellow leaves still hanging on the trees.
Our Favorite Photo:
I love all of the images with the yellow on the trees, but my favorite photo from their Renaissance wedding is probably the image of Natalie’s mom resting a hand on her back when she finished getting into her dress. It’s such a sweet gesture from mothers, and it was beautiful to capture for posterity.
Renaissance Hotel Downtown Pittsburgh
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday as a married couple! Thank you so much for having me with you, and for being such a sweet couple to work with! Your love for each other is amazing, and if it only grows from here I can only imagine the life that you will lead together! God bless you both!
Renaissance Hotel Pittsburgh Weddings:
Natalie and Jacob’s wedding ceremony took place in the August Wilson room on the second floor of the Renaissance Hotel. This was a smaller, quiet room, where Natalie + Jacob stood on a platform with their bridal party for the wedding ceremony. After that, the cocktail hour at the Renaissance was held on the second level balcony area, so guests could overlook the lobby of the hotel. The lights were set to pink, and the ceiling window looked amazing! After cocktail hour, guests were ushered into the main Symphony Ballroom space, where the head table was placed across the windows toward the center of the room. Wedding guest tables surrounded them, and the dance floor was at the far end of the room near the opposite parking garage from the Renaissance Hotel. One of my favorite things about photographing weddings at the Renaissance Hotel (besides the low, white ceilings making my job easy!), is the view from the hotel ballroom! The Renaissance is one of the only hotels in the city of Pittsburgh that has a view from the ballroom, overlooking the Roberto Clemente Bridge and PNC Park.
