Favorite Family Moment:
Zia and Dave both come from large families – each being one of four children. All of their brothers, sisters, and parents were generous and happy on their wedding day. As soon as I pulled into the driveway, I was greeted by Dave’s mother and father, who was putting the finishing touches on the barn for the wedding and making sure that the day was running smoothly. During their parent dance, both Zia’s dad and Dave’s mom were smiling with genuine smiles, knowing that they’ve done a great job raising their children, who will no doubt do a great job raising their own.
Vibrant Wedding Style:
Zia and Dave’s wedding was incredible. The barn for the ceremony and reception was on the family home’s property, and was recently constructed for the wedding and future events. The large windows for their ceremony site overlooked the hills surrounding Pittsburgh, and the high ceilings of the barn were accented by large, rustic chandeliers. Florals by Sapphire and Lace provided texture that Zia raved about, and the greenery table runners and candlelight were the perfect arrangements for the space. Their “naked cake” was filled with berries and decorated with flowers, all which matched Zia’s flower dress from Glitter and Grit perfectly.
Our Favorite Wedding Photo:
Oh my – where to start? I adore so much of their gallery for different reasons: Zia greeting her Grandmother during the ceremony with a bright, young smile and holding her aged hands tightly. I love the portrait of Zia walking through the family home in her gorgeous flowered dress, getting ready to walk to the barn for the ceremony. I love the smile on Dave’s mom’s face as she dances with her son. I love the light and family feeling in all of the speeches photos. So many to pick from!
