Favorite Family Moment: Maura is one of two girls, and she is the last one to get married. While she was getting into her wedding dress, her dad was ready to go in the living room. She was finally all set for her big reveal, and I waited patiently in the living space for Maura to step out into the open for everyone to see! Waited… waited.. and then she walked out of the back bedroom looking beautiful! Her dad’s back was turned to her, and when she got to the living room she stood there anxiously waiting for him to turn around and see her.
Except he didn’t. He was watching the Pens game and had no idea she was even there. Ha! Once mom turned off the TV he finally saw her and gave her a huge hug. It was a pretty funny, typical family moment 🙂
Vibrant Style: All of the weddings that I have photographed at the Carnegie Museum of Art have been in the Hall of Sculpture with the white columns and clean slate. With an art exhibit set to go in, however, the ceremony was moved to the Hall of Architecture – and it was gorgeous! Now I can’t decide which location is my favorite for a wedding ceremony at the museum. They are both gorgeous backdrops!
Our Favorite Photo: This spring has been a bit off with the blossoms – with a warm winter and a late frost – it’s a little harder to come by! The PITT campus, however had some gorgeous white trees budding and I really wanted to take advantage of their romantic look. That said, it’s a college campus and so there are lots of people around! In order to isolate Maura and Tim in the photo, I bent down ever so slightly to crop out the background visitors and my favorite photo was born!
Wedding Venue: Carnegie Museum of Art Hall of Architecture and Music Foyer
Thank you: Thank you for having us, Maura and Tim! It was a pleasure to photograph your wedding – I can’t believe the day has come and gone. It seems like forever that we started working together and now you’re married and back from your honeymoon!
