Ashley and Jake’s wedding was a parrrrr-tay. Their wedding party was a whopping 26 friends and family members, and I think that group set the tone for the rest of the day! Starting off with a SKUP with the groom and a Serbian band, the guests were celebrating the day before the ceremony even took place. Their traditional orthodox ceremony included crowns, candles, and lots of smiles from Ashley and Jake, who were then greeted by the band as soon as they exited the church. They danced, sang, and all of the guests took in the sights of a gorgeous bride and groom.
Not to be forgotten, however, are the important, sentimental aspects of their day and the way that the most important people in their lives were there with them to witness their marriage. Two of my absolute favorite images from the day include each of the fathers – Ashley’s dad walking slowly onto the dance floor to sway with his only little girl, and Jake’s dad smiling at his wife, who is also his caregiver, after the ceremony. Both of the dads in their own small ways showing their happiness on their children’s wedding day.
Congratulations to these two, who I’m sure have a party of a life ahead, and one filled with just as many special moments.
