Although Maura knew Tim had purchased a ring, she didn’t know when he would propose. Would it be on a date at Steel Cactus (their favorite Mexican place down the street from where they live)? Perhaps on a casual day where they just play some basketball and relax in the sun? Nope! On their 6 month anniversary, they made reservations at Ruth’s Chris steakhouse. After dinner Tim got down on one knee and asked Maura “Maura, will you….. go to the Pens game with me?” (Ha! That’s great.) Maura was surprised with the Pens tickets, and even more surprised that Tim secretly packed a change of clothes in the car, including new jerseys for both of them to wear.

That night at the game, the pens won 3-0, and on their way home Tim drove up to Mt. Washington (which is out of our normal way home and Maura knew something was up). Once they got to Mt Washington, they got out and enjoyed a cold, but amazing view of the city. It was then (finally) that Time proposed, and of course Maura said YES! They celebrated that evening with some champagne and roses, and started planning for their wedding in 2016.

Maura and Tim are really sweet, and easy to talk to. We photographed their engagement session in downtown Pittsburgh, hoping to take advantage of one of the last weeks of blossoms on the trees. Here are some favorites from their photo session!
