They met during some of their first days in Pitt Law School. Meghan – from Michigan. Dennis – from Connecticut. Pittsburgh brought them together, and now they’re set to be married and start the next chapter in their lives. They study long hours together, but still manage to come through all of the hard work with a smile and each other. Meghan contacted me to photograph their engagement session here in Pittsburgh. They are getting married in Michigan, but since they’re still here for school, they wanted to celebrate their engagement with photos of the city where everything for them started.
We hung out by the Renaissance and bridges for their engagement session, and when I left I decided “Yup, I love my job”. We had such a great time walking around the area, getting to know more about them, and laughing – a lot.
Any walls that add a bit of color to a winter engagement session are great!
Currently in love with my black and white conversion.
They seriously are really adorable and oh-so-happy together.
Pittsburgh alleys are the best. I love the light that shines into them from the sides. They’re great for shooting.
See? A natural rim light.
After shooting outside a bit, we came back into the Renaissance lobby to warm up, and took some photos in there while we were at it. The one on the left is one of my favorites.
And we played in the elevators.
After warming up and an outfit change, we were back outside to the bridges for some classic Pittsburgh scenery. This picture is one of my absolute favorites from Meghan and Dennis’ session. It just shows how much fun we had.
Oh, by the way, did I forget to mention that not only are they a ton of fun, but they’re also a gorgeous couple!?
Thanks so much, Meghan & Dennis! I hope planning goes well for you, and Michigan isn’t too cold in November! 🙂
