Shannon and Matt’s engagement session is one of my favorites ever. They are just stunning, and so comfortable together. Their ease in working with me really takes their pictures above and beyond, and I’m so happy to work with a couple like them! Add on top of that, they are truly in love with each other, their friends and family, and life. I’m so blessed to have worked with them, and their wedding day was fabulous!
Their ceremony took place at the lovely Calvary United Methodist Church on Pittsburgh’s North Side, and their reception followed at the super cool PNC Park. We had lots of time to take pictures, and I want to take a minute to thank these two and their entire bridal party for being so incredibly patient in all of the hot, hot heat. There are some wonderful images to show for all of that photo time, so let’s get to it!
As required, a dress shot. I like all of the color from the yellow tone of the lights!
I think her mom’s face speaks volumes for how beautiful she was that day.
The lovely couple. She’s got a very “Easy, Breezy, Beautiful” quality about her!
Matt was so happy to see his bride! (Side note to the bridal party: You were the sniffliest bridal party watching SShe come down the aisle! I need to carry more tissues with me! 😉 )
They had these cool letters in front of the church. Someone said “That’s your Thank You Card!”
I put this photo in here because it must have been taken last minute, after I took a bunch of normal pictures of the girls laughing – but I LOVE it. Don’t know why. The “wrongness” of the angle, but the GREAT emotion.
I jokingly asked the guys to giggle too – and they did! Good sports.
Love the tall grass. Can’t beat it.
Another one of my favorite images of the day, taken by my second shooter, Kelly.
Some great speeches.
There was dancing while cutting the cake.
They are both very, very loved by their parents, as evident from their father/daughter and mother/son dances.
And the rest was a great party!!
Thank you for having me with you! Congratulations, and let’s stay in touch!
