Carissa and Chad live in New York. But wait! They’re not together right now! Chad is currently working in Syracuse, while Carissa is finishing her Master’s degree at Columbia in the big city. They see each other only about once a month at this time, so their engagement session and trip to Pittsburgh was exciting to say the least!

Even though they may only see each other about once a month right now, they have been together for a while – meeting in high school and staying together ever since. When they are together, they love to find new places to eat, visit the Finger Lakes wineries, and travel to visit friends or watch an Indy car race.

The best travel they have on their calendar right now? A trip to the Dominican Republic next year to be married! They’re excited to celebrate their wedding vows with family and friends on the beaches of paradise, and are taking me with them! were so fun to work with during their engagement session. We got along so well, they truly made my job an island breeze! Congratulations!

Lindsay and David met in Myrtle Beach, and have a huge love for the beach. And Weasley.

Lindsay and David are getting married next June back at the beach, but wanted to photograph their engagement session in Lindsay’s hometown area. She’s originally a West Virginia girl (we all know how I love my WV girls!), but thought Pittsburgh would be a beautiful backdrop and way to show off their city style.

Sunday morning. Sunny. Starbucks in hand, and on my way to work with Angela and Rob. It was a good day.

Angela, Rob, and I first met over sushi, and since then we’ve been planning and looking forward to not only their woodsy engagement session this month, but also their wedding in September. They’re truly a relaxed, extraordinarily friendly duo, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to work with them. In fact, Angela and I did a lot of research into creating the perfect engagement session, and the spot we found was gorgeous! What’s not to love about tall trees, boat docks, and cat-tails.. with a bit of love in there too!

Angela and Jake are good friends with some of our wonderful past brides! We are SO excited to have them as part of The Collective family, and are looking forward to their wedding this November.

Loren spent some time with them recently, and they played in the Cultural District on a chilly Saturday afternoon. Needless to say, the winter light is always beautiful, and what better place for engagement photos than the city of Pittsburgh! Loren mentioned to me that (despite freezing their butts off) it was an awesome session, and she absolutely loves working with them both! I’m kind of jealous! Sounds like their relationship is wonderful, which can only mean great things on the wedding day too!

The downtown backdrop provides so many areas that are just magical about Pittsburgh: the people, cars, theater entrances. Just a wonderful place to be. The image on the left is one of my favorites! Love the reflection!
