26. Tomorrow I’ll be 26. Old to some? Yes. Young to some? Yes. How do I feel about it? Honestly, I’m not really sure. This year has gone by pretty fast, and I’ve gone from being totally comfortable with an afternoon in front of the TV on the couch, to a girl who is on the go all the time. I can’t just sit on the couch anymore, and ideas are always swirling in my head. I feel like I’ve accomplished a lot this year, and have proven to myself that I can do things I never thought were possible. I see potential. I see dreams. I see that the world is bigger than an office building and a desk. I’ve traveled a bit this year, and each time I do, I see that things don’t always have to be what everyone tells you they should be. I see the world and the potential. I think that’s a lot to say for my 25th year. And I’m hoping that my 26th year continues to expand on that idea. I hope to learn more than I ever could have imagined, meet and work with people that change my life, and grow beyond my wildest dreams.

I hope that 26 is a great year for Brad and I. I mean, he’s already over that 30-year-hump, and now I’m on my way. I hope that we get to do some great things and pursue dreams that we have. I hope that he is rewarded for all that he does and is capable of.

I hope that 26 is a great of smiles and laughs with my niece. She’ll be on the move this year, and it’ll be amazing to watch.

So ya. 26. I’m definitely not afraid of anything. I think it’ll be a fantastic year. Bring on 26. I’m ready for what it has to offer.

Randi Voss and I enjoyed our lunch, and “Who is your ideal bride?” is a great question I like to ask fellow photographers. Now, it’s not to say that every bride we work with is the same. That’s far from the truth. I work with girls that are loud, quiet, outgoing, and shy. And each of them are fabulous, because they teach me something new. Each wedding is beautiful.

But there’s also a moment, as a photographer, when you feel that you just *click* with a bride. A bride that represents your brand. A bride that gets you really, really excited for their wedding day. If you get that type of connection with your wedding photographer, it’s the best!
