Enjoy the summer like a little kid

Lydia (my niece) came to our house to play a little while ago and while the day started off fairly low-key, we ended up thoroughly enjoying our time outside. Especially Lydia.

As I was watering our garden, she got into the hose and decided that she loved it. Amazing that even though by the end of the time she was pants-less and shivering, she still didn’t want to stop playing with the hose. It seriously was the cutest thing ever, and it’s times like that where I’m so glad I have my camera around to document all the 1 1/2 year old fun.

Sometimes she un-knowingly aimed for Aunt Lee and I had to run away!

Anytime we turned the hose off, this is what happened.

Another product that I’m now offering that I wanted to post about for all of you is mini accordion albums. Sam & Missy | A Mother’s Day session

I’ve been holding on to these images for a while now…. patiently waiting until after Mother’s Day had passed to blog them. I shot this session with Sam and Missy back in March, as they wanted some recent photos to give to their mom on Mother’s Day. Fearing that Mom might be checking on here or on my facebook page, we decided to hold off on any posts.

However, the day has come and past, and now… I present to you… Sam and Missy. Sam is a great friend of mine from college, and Missy is her older sister with hair that makes me wildly jealous. We shot their sister session in the Strip District, and had to end abruptly as we were being chased by children wielding rocks. Ya. Not so fun – thanks, troublemakers! Either way, we had a great time walking around, chatting, and playing in the famous tire yard

I have sister-in-laws, but I’m sure there’s something between sisters that I may never understand, but I love it whatever-it-is.

Jamielynn is gorgeous. She kind of reminds me of this cross between Lindsay Lohan and Megan Fox. But she’s a sweetheart. Not sure about the other two!

Jamielynn is venturing into the unknown world of modeling, and asked that I take some head shots for her. We had a great time going from “Smiling!” to “Serious.” ha. I always love that. It’s good for some laughs thrown in as well. I think her shots turned out great. These are actually some that I took and edited a little more than the head shots that she’ll submit to the modeling agencies, but I think they’re fun. Enjoy!

Lydia’s First Birthday Party

So thus past Sunday, Brad and I went to my niece’s very first birthday party! It was great to see a lot of my family that I haven’t seen in a while. We all watched the Pens game, ate pizza, and enjoyed watching Lydia play in her cake and make a mess!

A very special “THANK YOU!” to Tammy from Cakes by Tammy for the wonderful and delicious birthday cake! Tammy does many wedding cakes throughout the year, so be sure to check her out!

Oh my goodness! I can’t believe she’s already one year old! I remember like it was yesterday. My sister-in-law, Holly, was crazy pregnant at the time, and we were all convinced it was going to be a boy.

She was born 7lbs, 9oz at Magee Women’s Hospital, and I couldn’t believe the pride on everyone’s faces as we realized there was a new little queen to the family, and I had just been booted Just kidding. We love her so much! Happy first Birthday, Lydia! Aunt Lee and Uncle Brad love you sooo much!

Hi all! Happy Monday! *le sigh*

Not sure how many of you have heard of “I Heart Faces” before, but let me tell you about the site! It’s great! Each week they hold a contest for photographers around the world to participate. It’s a great way to see what others, both busy professionals and amateurs in love with their cameras, are up to!

This week’s “I Heart Faces” competition is titled “We Are Family”. This image is my submission, and I love it! This is Amelia and her son, Chad. They’ve been through a lot, and they are absolutely the cutest family I know. Chad is such a happy little boy, and Amelia is a wonderful mother!

What more could I ask for? Two beautiful sisters who need some pictures taken just in time for Christmas! Kylie, Alex, and I had a great time, despite the cold, venturing around the Strip District. One of my favorite spots! Yes! The urban feel is just something I love. These two are a couple of years apart, but they’re such good friends and sisters. Lucky girls!
