So I’m sick again. For the second time in one month. This got me thinking – why the heck am I sick again?!!! I’m peeved! Totally not fair. Actually, maybe it is fair… My body is telling me that it’s unprepared for the world right now and I’ve got to get it back in prep mode. I think the reason I’m sick again is because I’ve been all work.work.work and no relax. So I’m taking a step back. Sure, I’ve defintiely got images to pan through, edit, send out, and other sessions on the way. But by taking a step back I have decided to really work on streamlining my practices. I’m now stacking my images in LR and only completing XX number of stacks per night, doing some yoga, and taking som “me” time. So far I love how it’s working. I don’t feel overwhelmed by 600+ images to edit – I just know I have about 30 stacks and about 5 days to do it. That’s 6 a day, and that’s doable. That gives me time. And hopefully I won’t be sick as often! My nose hurts!![]()
The yoga is great too. I l-o-v-e that Amazing Yoga offers podcasts!!! Seriously, if you haven’t been on their website to check them out definitely do! You can do your yoga practice right in your living room (or in my case, in my foyer where all of the beautiful evening light comes in and I stare at the deer heads as I do upward facing dog). But really, it’s fab, and I’m really glad that I can now do this at home instead of venturing in to the South Side, because that’s far for us der’ country folk! I’m shooting for 4-5 times a week, and I’m already feeling some changes. How awesome that we have yoga in the world to calm us down from all of the mess that goes on around us each day! Try it for yourself!
Also, I’m still keeping up with my picture a day - just wanted to let you know.
I also took the time to COOK a dinner last night. Please let me prep you by saying that “dinner” in the Golish house is usually something that was frozen, a leftover, or a pizza. Brad’s reviews of my culinary masterpieces are ususally “This has no taste” or “ummm It’s ok!” (That’s him trying to be nice
So I took the time last night to actually COOK a dinner. That’s a huge. step. Can’t say it was miraculous, but it did contain vegetables, healthy oils, shrimp, and sun-dried tomatoes, which are perhaps my favorite. Again, taking care of myself and actually taking time to do something else that I want to get better in doing.
My best friend’s bachelorette party is this weekend – WOOOOOO!! We’re totally going to be the “WOO GIRLS”. I’m pumped. I can’t believe she’s getting married and we get excited over china and blenders! How crazy, but so exciting at the same time. I love girl’s nights out. Should be a blast!
Lastly – I’m currently jamming to the “LMFAO” Pandora radio station and dancing in my cube. Sure, the work may be boring, but I’m butt-chair-dancing at 9:30am. I call that “taking care of myself” as well! Have a great day all!
