Phipps Conservatory Garden Wedding | Jessica & Tom

Jessica and Tom were married on June 26th in the outdoor garden of Phipps Conservatory. Their wedding was an absolutely wonderful breath of fresh air, with a garden party-type atmosphere and lawn games. I loved all of the style and intimacy they brought to the wedding day, and it was simply beautiful. The details were killer, but the best part was that Jessica and Tom were able to share their perfect day with the people that mean the most to them. Thank you both for having me with you, and now on to the pictures!

Jessica and Tom were married at Phipps Conservatory.

The bridesmaids were all very helpful with the dress.

They were wed in the outdoor garden by the fountain.

Jessica and Tom did a first look, and that freed us up to take pictures before the ceremony.

Jessica's Makeup was by Bobbi Brown

The couple lives in Philadelphia

Love Phipps. It’s so beautiful there.

The theme for their wedding was a summer garden party.

Groom. Bride.

There were lawn games.

They set aside time before the ceremony for their photography.

The girls being a little sassy, and a classic picture of the wonderful couple.

The girls wore peach bridesmaind dresses.

Loved Jess’s hair flowers. In person they were really delicate and beautiful.

Jessica decorated with mason jars and chalkboards.

So Jessica is a teacher and works with little kids all day, so when I saw these little notes I was just in awe. She had them learning metaphors and similes and they wrote about weddings and marriage. She then printed them out and hung them on twine between the tent poles. A-d-o-r-a-b-l-e.

Their wedding served BBQ food.

On to the ceremony!

Phipps Conservatory was the perfect place for one of the best weddings I have worked.

Tom was definitely the first groom I’ve seen using his Flip cam to record his bride coming down the aisle. Hey, he’s with the times!

Their photography is fresh and colorful since the photos were taken in the garden.

And this is what he saw… *awww*

The dance floor was fun to watch.

They also did a handfasting ceremony during their wedding, and it was wonderful! Some beautiful statements about marriage. I got a bit teary.

Jessica Martinez and Tom Marshall.

And an exit to fun music:)

There were a lot of DIY details for the wedding.

Peach and ivory were here colors and they were very light and relaxed.

Their best man sang his speech (mostly) and it was great! I believe it was the “new” rendition of the famous Prince piece “Raspberry Beret” on the story of how Jess and Tom met.

Leeann Marie Photography was their photographer.

Dozen Cupcakes: seal of approval from the bride.

Their cupcakes for the wedding were done by Dozen Cupcakes and were delicious.

First dance with some beautiful bokeh (um… the blurry stuff in the backgrounds..:))

The wedding photographer played a slideshow of the images at the reception.

Garden Parties make beautiful weddings.

Oh my gosh! Really?! How cute are these two little boys!

Phipps is very accomodating and nice.

Part of the awesomness of the wedding was that there were plenty of lawn games to play. Bocce on the lawn. Beautiful light. Great atmosphere for a garden wedding.
