They live in a renovated farmhouse. It’s tucked into a hillside surrounded by tall trees and wispy white flowers. The entryway boasts their soon-to-be-shared last name and a Ralph Waldo Emerson quote greeting their guests as they arrive. The new hardwood, hand-scraped floors are the perfect place for their Sharpei, Bernard, to relax after spending time in the backyard. They greet me with smiles and two vases of fresh flowers livening up their dining room table.
We photographed Kaitlin and Brandon’s engagement session in their beautiful little neighborhood, Bradford Woods, in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. The wildflowers were blooming, and the woods were the perfect compliment to Kaitlin’s mustard cardigan and brown leather boots. They’re at home here, and it’s their place to relax together after long days at the office. They’re set to be married next May, and we’re hoping for a day of more beautiful flowers, sunshine, and a details as beautiful as their life together already is.
The late sun peeking through the tree tops.
The area really was gorgeous!
Always love a little laugh!
These two images are some of my favorites from their session. Right on the edge of the tree light.
Meet Bernard.

Kaitlin looks just beautiful here!
They had a little Save-The-Date cake!
And, sitting on their front porch as the session was coming to an end..
