Jamie and Dave are one of those super-successful, type-A, work to make their dreams come true, kind of couples. They manage home rentals, study like crazy for the bar exams, and still manage to pull off a DIY wedding in the same year.
On the other hand, they’re the kind of couple you can meet up with at Meat and Potatoes on a weekend evening for an absinthe-and-jalapeno-infused cocktail, or at Ohiopyle on a Sunday afternoon for a bike ride through the mountain trails.
I truly admire that they not only work hard to be successful in all that they do, but they also work hard so that they can play hard. They’re the perfect mix of city-careers and outdoor adventures.
Their wedding took place at Armstrong Farms Westminster Preserve barn (one of my favorite wedding venues!), and was a mix of DIY, crazy-awesome friends, and two wedding dresses! Congratulations!
Lisa from Kiss-and-Makeup (oh, I can’t even begin to tell you how much I adore her.. and her work!). Shot by Melissa!
Those beautiful lashes!
Seeing herself as a bride for the first time..
And Dave! Always so cool, calm, and collected.
The groomsmen got to chill at a little house nearby prior to the wedding ceremony.
Loved the color combinations.
Jamie and Dave opted to talk to each other before the ceremony, but still didn’t want to see each other. I always tell my couples to completely ignore me during this process, and when they do, it’s really an amazing time for them to talk about how excited they are and calm some nerves.
Oh my, grandparents are the BEST! He was so excited to take some photos!
Jamie and her dad about to walk down the hill to the ceremony site. Loved playing around a bit with the composition.
Married!
Their bridal party was awesome! And the girls all looked stunning after also having their makeup done by Lisa.
Ahhh the light off of the water. The cool calm of the evening air. The last of the sunlight peeking through the trees. It’s almost fall.
Some crazy clouds rolled in, but we missed the rain!
MOH speech
They were some good speeches too!
Jamie dancing with her husband and her father. I’m a huge fan of the paper lanterns, especially for barn weddings.
After the formalities, the party kicked into full gear, and their friends weren’t afraid to dance!
Love the girl holding two drinks LOL![]()

Heck yes!
Jamie’s second dress for the reception!
And last, but not least, an evening photograph of the happy couple.
