As we drove along the windy country road I thought “Surely, they think I’m a bit crazy.” I was taking them out into no-man’s-land for their engagement photos, and Leigh and Sean were definitely out of their normal city atmosphere. But they trusted in me, and that meant a lot. Hopefully the little bit of crazy would soon be overshadowed by some gorgeous late-evening sun and a chance to relax outside of the hustle and bustle of city life and their careers as doctors.
And as we walked through the field on the hilltop suddenly Leigh started to reminisce a bit. About how she really enjoys riding ATVs, and how her dad used to pick red berries with her and leave them out for the reindeer at Christmas time. How bugs aren’t a bother when you grew up playing in the woods. And Sean listened and smiled, ever the city guy, and I think that he too, even just a little, enjoyed a bit of a break in the countryside with his wife-to-be.
Leigh and Sean will be married soon in the city, and I’m so happy I’m able to showcase both sides of them. The little girl who berry-picked and walked barefoot on the dirt paths, and (soon) the couple fascinated with city life and a new life to come.
Love the view from up there.
They are both really relaxed with each other, and toss around jokes here and there as well. My kind of couple!
Top secret locale.
I really love this. Sean has got this cool calm about him.
