Kate and Bernie are moving to California. On a new adventure, where Kate’s job is taking them. Her biggest concern is making friends that are as great as the ones they’ve made in Houston. They’re ready for the next adventure in their lives, and this new adventure comes complete with an extra set of wedding bands tying them together.
Kate and Bernie are originally from the hills of Indiana, Pennsylvania, and decided to come back home for their wedding celebration with lots of their family and friends that they both grew up with. Their wedding celebration was one of long friendships, inside stories, and some crazy dance-floor partying. Like Vegas, just at home.
Hopefully spending time with their loved ones over their wedding weekend renewed in them the confidence that they are supported so much by those who they’ve known forever, and will continue to make friends where ever their successes lead.
They spent their day at Chestnut Ridge, where both the ceremony and reception were held. Kate’s bouquet contained a photo of her grandfather.
Bernie gave her a bracelet as her wedding gift.
I loved the belt on her Maggie Sottero dress.
The guys, looking quite handsome.
And the girls, all best of friends. Flowers by Mocha Rose.
Kate’s dress really fit her perfectly, and I always love red-haired brides. The whole day was seamless, thanks to Sumer at Simply Perfect Weddings. We had just the right amount of time to take photos both before and after the ceremony.
The ceremony was held in the Crystal Terrace room at Chestnut Ridge, which overlooked the golf course. I adore the way Bernie is looking at Kate here.
Maid-of-Honor watching one of her best friends marry.
The minister for the ceremony was really funny, and he had the bridal party laughing throughout the ceremony (except for the serious parts of course!).
I had to leave this image as a stand-alone, because it deserves a little admiration. It’s simple, and yet so beautiful.
The introductions were quite the show, with the groomsmen entering first (complete with crazy poses), then the bridesmaids (to a choreographed dance), and then Kate and Bernie – the featured couple.
Her dad was so happy to be dancing with his daughter!
Mother/Son dance (cake by Cakes by Tammy)
There was a lot of dancing at their reception!
Love these guys – and that cowboy hat!
A little something I was playing around with – Kate did a little dance before tossing the bouquet!Congrats!
