Cecily and Ted were married at Heinz Chapel on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh. They met at Pitt, and are now husband and wife. I love those kinds of stories, because we all know that a marriage made at Pitt is bound to be a good one, right? I’m not biased![]()
Their wedding day was absolutely gorgeous and we had plenty of time before the ceremony to go to the West End Overlook and the campus area for photos. The reception was held at St. Pamphilus, which has a great ballroom for wedding receptions. The dance floor was packed the entire night, as Cecily noted to me that it was “a requirement from the bride that everyone dance.” Needless-to-say, that made for a fun party and some super fun dancing pictures.
Thanks so much for having me with you on your wedding day! Here are some of my favorites. There’s a lot.

Got to love the view from the West End Overlook.

They had a great “calm” about them. I loved that.

Taking pictures on Pitt’s campus is easy! Great architecture and lots of green space.

Cecily had skin of milk and was really good at some of the things I asked of her!

Something a little different just using a light inside of the Cathedral of Learning.

The beautiful bride getting ready in the bridal suite at Heinz Chapel.

Oh my gosh, this little girl was cute! At the reception she would go up to the ring bearer and say “We’re going to dance together at the next slow song, OK? Don’t go anywhere because you have to dance with me.” And then she’d run back and tell him again 2 minutes later. It was adorable.

The ring bearer taking it all in.

I love Heinz Chapel weddings. They are just so pretty.

On to the reception and some cake pictures!

Not only do Cecily and Ted have a great calm about them, but they are also great at laughing together!

First dance.

And finally, some dancing pictures! I’m sure I included more in the slideshow.
