On today, tomorrow, and the Trevi fountain

I’m a bit out of whack. My back hurts and the doctor says I sprained my neck. I carry too much stuff – I can do it! I’m always saying that. “I can do it!”, and what I really mean is “I can do it myself!”

I’m a traveler. The world is a playground. Other cultures aren’t crazy – they’re people. A night out in Tokyo? Of course. A ride on a speeding scooter through Hanoi? Of course. Spontaneous karaoke,Trevi fountain and a tiny wish, birthdays in London, baguettes in Paris. It’s all me. I love every bit.

I’m a believer that life is more than money and time. My life is not meant to be wasted on time that somebody else wants to claim without my permission. My life isn’t meant to be a slave to money. Poor people can be happy. Rich people can be sad. Poor people can be miserable. Rich people can love life. It’s not about money, and it’s all about time. Did you get that? Are you determining your time, or is someone else? YOUR time. MY time. What I make of it and how I choose to use what I’ve got.

I’m a lover and a giver. Every time I give I realize the power and truth of the phrase “’tis better to give than to receive”. I already have too much. It’s unnecessary. But to give and love others – now that is a true pleasure. It’s what life is all about.

I’m a go-getter. I’ve got ideas, and I want them to happen. I want to get better. I want to learn. I want to live my passion. I want to live! If there are things that need to be done to make that a reality, then that’s the solution. They just need to be done.

I’m making no excuses. That’s the easy way out. I wish everyone saw the world as I do today – big, bright, full of possibility. It’s not about a task list, and it’s not about a schedule. It’s about a fleeting joy in a now-past moment. Did you get that? It’s gone now. Did you enjoy it? Better make sure you do this time.

I’m a bit out of whack. I’m a traveler. I’m a believer that life is more than money and time. I’m a lover and a giver. I’m a go-getter. I’m making no excuses. The world is big, bright, and waiting for me to stop living in fear and start seizing every opportunity.
