I ask each of my couples to fill out a questionnaire prior to their wedding that provides me with lots of details about their timing, family members, locations, and photo ideas. Kerri and Kevin were no exception, but one thing was notable about their responses: They said “best friend” numerous times.
They truly have a marriage built on friendship and love – the kind of marriage where they can be themselves no matter what, and laugh together as true friends. They have a marriage full of smiles, inside jokes, and an adorable Schweenie puppy named Milo. Their wedding day was no exception, although Milo was kenneled and took a rain check on the event. They were surrounded by crazy dance-floor friends, smiling bridal party members, and family who loves them like none-other.
I’m excited to see what the world brings to Kerri and Kevin, because I’m sure it will be lots of awesome stories and hilarious events together. Congratulations!
Working out the pre-wedding jitters with a little practice “first dance”. Good, maid of honor!
The flowergirls. I couldn’t get enough of them! Seriously, when I got home I couldn’t stop telling Brad about the adorable little angels that were at the wedding. Soooooo cute! Here they are helping with the music selection for the morning prep. (They picked Taylor Swift)
Kerri and her dad!
The beautiful St. Thomas More Church in the South Hills. Loved photographing their wedding ceremony here, since there was lots of natural light filling the church.
Kevin – a happy man.
The stained glass in the church was great too! Not quite sure what’s going on here, but I think the expression is great!
The gorgeous Kerri – captured by Dana Scheller. A HUGE thanks to Dana who stepped in to help with the wedding in a pinch. We owe you one!
The bridal party. I really loved the color choices for Kerri + Kevin’s wedding.
The tulle at the bottom of Kerri’s dress was really light and flattering:
A first dance with some pretty uplighting at the Doubletree Meadowlands.
Yep, he’s a pretty happy guy! (and super nice too!)
These two are loved so much by their parents – great examples of marriage!
A pretty epic cake-cutting!
Remember those adorable flower girls? Well, they sure know how to tear it up on the dance floor too!
You can pick your nose, and you can pick your friends…
The garter application…
…not sure it’s going to be true love…Congrats, Kerri + Kevin!
